What is Ipsofacto?

Ipsofacto IT Services is settled in the center of San Francisco and provides IT Services in the whole bay area. IT Services is for Information Technologies Services which means that Ipsofacto’s sector of activity is mostly based on computer resources and all the services related to computer science.


The activity of the company includes:

• IT Support Plans, or the constant maintenance of the computer resources (including onsite support, assistance and network monitoring).
• IT Projects and Installation as a Microsoft Small Business Specialist.
• IT Relocation services.
• Voice and Handheld devices.
• Email and Website filtering.

What have I done at Ipsofacto

       At Ipsofacto, I had the job of an engineer working on internal projects. Thus, after some time getting used to the computer resources the company uses, I was asked to look for a solution to be able to provide online backup. It tested the functions of software and Crash Plan was the one corresponding to what was expected.
Then I worked on improving the website and the Search Engine Optimization (which I'm still improving).
I also established a newsletter and a survey system with templates I made for both of them. The replies from the clients were full of congratulations.

I was working a lot with other engineers at the office or onsite. When visiting the clients, I observed the engineers working and I helped them for some tasks which did not require a wide technical knowledge.

A brief analysis of the internship

       My work has been really well structured to let me see all the aspects of the job of engineer, the organization of the company and the work with the clients. I’ve been able to work for the company and to observe it from the inside.
Working as an engineer during six weeeks has been a rich experience for me. In addition to the knowledge of the job, I learned to speak english in a very nice city.
